It’s never too early to start on your education for your 2025 recertification. I wanted to reach out early as I could as a few of you have inquired on what exactly is needed for your recertification. Below are some helpful links on the National Registry. The most common question I get is “ Do I need to do the NCCP?” The answer is YES! The good news is that all EMT’s, AEMT’s and Paramedics have access to the NCCP course on your MyBrewster. The EMT is a 20 hour refresher course, the AEMT is a 25 hour refresher and the Paramedic is a 30 hour refresher. These hours will fill up your entire National Component. As for local and Individual courses these are all the other courses you find on MyBrewster. When starting with your local and Individual con-ed begin with your required yearly education to get both credit for your review as well as your recertification. I will include that list here as well.
Another question we get is “Do I need to add everything into NREMT or does Education?” The Answer is YOU enter everything you take into NREMT. The only time education will add anything in is if you take an IN PERSON class and sign a physical roster (CPR, ACLS, PALS etc.)
*If you are from a contractual municipality the answer may be different. Please reach out for clarification if you need to.
